FAQ's / Frequently asked questionsThis is the list of the Cash Generation FAQ's Cash GenerationHow
do I get faster collections? By
ensuring that your business is focused on “Critical to Customer” issues and
is managed for long-term value creation, meaning that profits and cash
generation are equally important. Talanworth
will assess your current performance, recommend improvements and provide you
with the skills and tools to optimize value. Will relations with my customers be affected? Relations
should improve as you understand your customers’ requirements much more
closely working in ways designed to make both parties succeed.
How
can I manage supplier payments better? It
is important to use but not abuse procurement power, whilst at the same time
obtaining top quality performance from the supplier, and paying in accordance
with the contracted standards. Will
suppliers be affected? Cost
of non-quality should be reduced as suppliers will understand your requirements
better and be incentivised to perform to the best of their ability. Why use Talanworth? Talanworth’s
staff benefit from both a financial and also an industrial background.
This means that their approach, training and tools are practical rather
than academic. The metrics are
designed to add value not to increase reporting for its own sake.
Our management have negotiated a range
of projects, including major complex contracts, in many countries so they have a
wide background of cultures and client types. How do I contact Talanworth? The simple answer is yes! Having worked in many countries and across multi-cultural, cross-functional teams often where Talanworth’s staff were working to bring different groups together in business this gives Talanworth a truly international experience. Please refer to the Case Studies for specific examples. Can Talanworth help both manufacturing and service businesses? Yes, as you can see from the Case Studies. The approaches vary depending on the type of business cycle but much of what it takes to generate cash is common to all types of businesses. Why not just use my own staff? As our cash health check will assess your current performance on a truly independent basis you will be able to test this for yourself. Implementing change to practices requires a cross functional approach and use of best practice from other industries and companies. However, your staff will own the process and your company will control the tools and metrics developed. Why not use a leading accountancy firm? The
hands-on quality and experience of the Talanworth approach is superior to the
advice and consultancy from such a firm. Talanworth
provides tailor-made focused improvements based on hard experience.
