1996/01 equity portfolio exceeding Euro 200m. Direct work on 28 power and 16 transport projects. Local assignments in Australia, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and USA.

1996/01 Internal adviser to Senior Management, including CEO's office, on risk analysis and financing of limited recourse infrastructure projects.  Attendance at Risk Management Committees in Paris attended by Sector Heads.  Analysis of numerous requests for Company to invest in or support such projects and recommendations for investments by the Company.  

2000/01 Led finance and legal negotiations for successful submission to Thai construction company to obtain preliminary approval to finance 25 year 40 km Bangkok metro concession from Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand. Negotiated US$300m financing with French and Japanese Export Credit Agencies and Lead Arranger Banks, based in Paris and Singapore .

2001 Finance oversight for proposed 14km light railway in Jerusalem .  

2000 Mentored and coached Deputy FD. Achieved financial close on 18km Spanish tram project. and closed Phase 2.

1999/00 Support for local finance team working on 3km people mover in Italy.

1999/00 Finance support, including oversight of banking documentation, financial model, tax and technical adviser reports for Tuberail Consortium bidding for London Underground PPP, requiring funding in excess of £2.5 billion for Jubilee Northern & Piccadilly Lines and Bakerloo, Central & Victoria Lines.  

1999 Finance support for acquisition of privatised passenger railway operations on one part of the system in Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.

1999 Support for appointing financial adviser to 12km metro project in Brazil.

1998 Management of financial advisers and lead arrangers, finance submissions, financial model, risk allocation and client negotiations for 1120km high speed line in the Netherlands.

1998 Finance aspects of proposed new high speed line linking Canberra and Sydney, Australia, including term sheet negotiations, management of bank and equity underwriters and development of project documents.

1998 Finance review of proposed rail link in Manila.

1998 Finance support for concession to build, transfer and operate a 61.5km complete railway from the Seoul Metropolitan Area to a new airport under construction on an island near Inchon, Korea.

1998 Finance aspects of bid submission for Victoria, Australia to Tasmania underwater HVDC link.

1998 Finance structuring support for second 250MW Circulating Fluidised Bed petcoke-fired, power plant, Mexico.

1998 Oversaw in Hong Kong development of term sheet, document mark-up, finance plan and financial model in the successful bid for the 700MW CCGT power plant in Vietnam.

1998 Financial due diligence re proposed acquisition of 120MW CCGT in Thailand.

1996/01 Financial management of 28% investment in 42 km light rail airport link in Stockholm, Sweden cost €700m, since sold in 2003 to a bank infrastructure fund.

1996/97 Finance aspects for bid for 350km high speed railway in Taiwan (USD 18.5 billion).

1994/95 As Director, Project Finance started up Barclays’ PFI (Private Finance Initiative) lending capability and won mandates for ten (10) PFI projects, eight (8) water projects and six (6) railway mandates. Projects covered in Argentina, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, India, Oman, Pakistan, New Zealand, Thailand and UK.
